Narrowing the rapidly growing gap between education and the human resource needs of the business community.

Professional Development Foundation (PDF) is delighted to announce the launch of its new program Workforce Passport (WFP).

WFP is tailored to empower fresh university graduates who lack the basic work skills needed to jump start their careers. The program provides participants with a wide range of tools, concepts and values that are imperative in today''''''''s workplace, these include: job entry skills, character building, effective communication, leadership, confidence building, professional presentation, critical thinking, continuous learning, self-development, team work and work ethics.
This program is offered as a fully funded scholarship and implemented in cooperation with Berlitz Egypt, Dale Carnegie Training Egypt and Maharat for HR Services.

Microsoft Office 365 Launching Event for Non-Profits

On September 10th, 2013 all Techsoup Global partners celebrated the launching of Office 365 for nonprofits worldwide; each partner announced the launching of the new product through its platform and social media.

Office 365 is a cloud technology offered to the nonprofit sector worldwide to facilitate their internal procedures as well as encouraging them to use the latest technology in sharing their documents.

In the event of launching Microsoft Office 365 for non-profits on September 30th, 2013; Techsoup Egypt was invited as a keynote speaker to present the new product features as well as the software donation program for non-profits.

During the event Microsoft Egypt presented their new product from a technical perspective and showed NGOs how they will get benefited from it and also the advantage of owning such a product inside NGOs or SMEs.

The event gathered a diversity of NGOs specialized in Women Development, Human Resources Development, Education and Health. The event took place engaging 40 participants representing 20 NGOs.

During the Office 365 launching event Techsoup Egypt was keen on establishing connections with new NGOs and also reactivating the old ones to encourage them to get the software donation as well as the Office 365 and as an outcome of the event; 5 NGOs successfully applied for the Office 365 donation.

“Empowering Women”

NGO Connection Day in collaboration with Microsoft

In collaboration with Microsoft, the Civil Society Support Center held the yearly “NGOs Connection Day” to strengthen the ongoing cooperation among Egyptian NGOs. The event gathered a diversity of NGOs specialized in Women Development, Human Resources Development, Education and Health.
The “NGO Connection day” took place on June 16th, 2013 engaging 40 Women representing 24 NGOs.

“Empowering Women” was the theme, aiming to empower the women decision makers through a learning environment, providing them with the required leadership tools, methods and skills. Thus help them to achieve organizations’ missions.

The training methodology was based on experiential learning with the objective of assisting participants to better understand the concept of “Servant Leadership” and leading organizations to success; all the topics of the day were presented through a set of activities followed by reflection conclusions discussion at the end of each activity.

The opening session covered two essential topics; the first topic was about information technology leveragewhere the NGOs can benefit from the donation program “Techsoup Egypt”. The second topic was introducing the NGO Capacity Building program developed by Professional Development Foundation. The program was designed to support NGOs by helping them develop efficiently managed organizations through best use of human and financial resources.
