PDF and General Authority for Suez Canal’s Economic Zone sign a cooperation protocol
The strategic aim of signing this protocol is the implementation of a vision for the development of human resources within the vicinity of Suez Canal’s economic zone. The cooperation takes place between the General Authority for Suez Canal’s Economic Zone and PDF as a joint venture involving the development of the Authority personnel at the district level in which it operates. On creating a traineeship platform for fresh grads in the vicinity of the Suez Canal area (such as Suez, Port Said, Ismailia), the program is able to prepare capable, trained and professionally-able youth for the labor market and industry needs within this vibrant geographic region.
PDF’s role will be to identify employees training needs by holding sessions for business development in coordination with the Authority. On doing so, PDF will be able to pinpoint the areas for improvement to be covered throughout the training program. PDF will then assign the best training providers in the industry to administer the developmental program for both the Authority employees and fresh grads. A time frame will be devised in conjunction with the Authority. PDF is financially covering the developmental program in full, which entails the provision of traineeship grants as well, alleviating the cost off of the Authority’s end.
The Suez Canal Authority’s role in providing PDF with a list of potential candidate and employees to join the programs offered, as well as a detailed update on their current performance within the organisation. The Authority plays an important role as a facilitator during the business development workshops, the employee assessments, all the way to the provision of the all necessary measures to ensure the commitment of the participants to attend training courses.
As part of its cooperation, the Authority is obliged to provide suitable training areas and classes within its premises, as well as acting as a motivator for the trainers’ efforts and input into the program, identifying the challenges and help in the provision of suitable solutions, and finally measuring the impact and effectiveness of the program to ensure access the desired objectives in business development have been successfully met.
